Tell me your plan, I will be your climbing escort.
Sometimes you have time and money to invest on a great trip or expedition. But you have no partner. Till now, I've been hired as a climbing partner in four trips:
The first one was in Patagonia, Argentina.
Marco Centomo, climber and photographer, wanted to climb a virgin summit on the northern Patagonia. He was there three times before but never able to climb. The logistics and commitment are a big issue to deal with on such inhabited places. We could not reach the summit, but the adventure was a great achievement.
Second awesome trip, Yosemite
Fred Wagner, a client who I taught how to improve his climbing skills when I was starting on my career as a guide. Four years later, he write me a mail, telling me how everything evolved since he get deeper and deeper into climbing. Then; his goal was to climb The Nose. What a dream... any climber wants to climb el El Cap once in a lifetime. I could not do it without him, he couldn't do it without me. Both of us climbed very hard during one month in Yosemite Valley.
The third was In Morocco.
Augusto Covaro, traumatology surgeon based in Barcelona. We use to climb some routes together almost every year. This time we've been working hard for a very long time and was looking after something big and different. We went to Taghia, Morocco. A climbers paradise I have to say. 10 days of very hot rock and roll.
The fourth awesome experience was a road trip climbing adventure in Norway
Always great to climb with people who come year after year. Strengthen ties and creating new experiences. But this time, Tatsuo Shinohara and his group asked me to lead the guiding through Norway granit lands. Doing good treks, climbs and enjoying the views of its never ending fiords.
Now I'm waiting for future adventures, new plans and in the meantime. I am becoming a better guide. Always improving and never too far away from the adventure.
